The short answer
We install, remove and repair wallpaper across Orange County, FL, roughly six miles from our base. That covers dozens of communities, including Winter Park, Windermere, Ocoee, Winter Garden, Conway and Hunters Creek.
Orange County is home ground for us. Our base is only about six miles away, so most of our working weeks are spent in its neighborhoods, from the brick streets near Winter Park and Maitland to the lake-dotted lots of Windermere, Gotha and Belle Isle, and out to the newer rooftops of Horizon West, Meadow Woods and Alafaya. Short drive times mean we can come back to check a wall, finish a stubborn corner, or fit a small job into a busy week.
Neighborhoods We Reach Often
Orange County is big, and its housing changes as you move across it. Here is roughly how we think about the map when planning work:
- North and east: Winter Park, Maitland, Eatonville, Fairview Shores, Goldenrod, Azalea Park, Rio Pinar, Union Park and Alafaya
- Central and south: Edgewood, Belle Isle, Conway, Pine Castle, Sky Lake, Oak Ridge, Williamsburg, Southchase, Meadow Woods, Hunters Creek, Lake Hart and Lockhart
- West and southwest: Pine Hills, Orlovista, Clarcona, Ocoee, Winter Garden, Horizon West, Gotha, Windermere, Doctor Phillips, Bay Hill, Lake Butler, Lake Buena Vista and Bay Lake
What the Housing Mix Means for Your Walls
Many established neighborhoods, especially around Conway, Azalea Park, Pine Hills and Pine Castle, are full of concrete-block ranch homes from the 1950s through the 1970s. Their walls often carry thick paint layers, patched cracks and the ghost of old paneling or paper. We usually recommend patching and a skim coat there so the new wallcovering lies smooth.
In the newer two-story stucco subdivisions of Horizon West, Meadow Woods and Southchase, the challenge is different: builder drywall with flat paint and a light texture. A good sealing primer, and sometimes light sanding, gets those walls ready to hold paper firmly at the seams.
Working With Orlando Weather
Summer here is hot and damp, with almost daily afternoon storms from June into September, while winter is mild and comparatively dry. Indoor humidity rises whenever the air conditioning is off, so we ask that it stays on during installation and for a couple of days afterward while the adhesive sets. Hurricane season stretches from June through November; if a storm threatens, we move dates rather than hang paper in a house that may lose power.
Popular Requests Around the County
Powder rooms covered in bold botanical prints, grasscloth in studies, murals in children's rooms, ceilings papered in dining rooms, and peel-and-stick panels in rental homes all come up regularly. We also hang durable vinyl in offices and small shops, and we strip outdated paper in older homes before new work begins.
