The short answer
We install residential wallpaper and commercial vinyl wallcoverings in Winter Garden, about fourteen miles northwest of our Orlando base. Homes get material matched to each room; businesses get durable products installed on schedules that limit downtime.
Winter Garden is a city on the western edge of Orange County, about fourteen miles northwest of our Orlando base. It is the farthest regular stop on our route in that direction, and it is a place where we split our time between two very different kinds of work. On one side are homeowners updating kitchens, bedrooms and stairwells. On the other are shop owners, restaurants, salons and offices that need walls tough enough for daily foot traffic and attractive enough to represent their brand. Commercial and residential wallcovering share basic techniques, but the products, schedules and priorities differ. This page covers both, so you can see how we would handle your Winter Garden project.
Commercial wallcovering: what changes
Business walls take a beating from chairs, carts, bags and constant cleaning. For those spaces we usually install commercial-grade vinyl, which comes in heavier weights than residential paper and holds up to scrubbing. Widths are often larger too, which means fewer seams but heavier, more demanding strips to handle.
Scheduling is the other big difference. A store or restaurant cannot close for a week. We plan commercial installs in phases, before opening, after closing or on days you are normally shut, and keep the work zone contained so customers and staff can move around safely.
- Lobbies and reception walls that set the tone for visitors.
- Corridors and stair halls where scuffs and bumps are constant.
- Restaurant dining rooms that need wipeable, grease-tolerant surfaces.
- Salon and spa walls exposed to steam, product and frequent cleaning.
- Offices and conference rooms wanting texture without the upkeep of paint.
Residential projects in Winter Garden
At home, priorities shift toward style and comfort. Families ask for grasscloth in living rooms, murals in kids' spaces, patterned ceilings in powder rooms and peel-and-stick refreshes in guest rooms. Many houses on this side of the county are newer two-story builds with tall entries and open plans, while others are older single-story homes with years of paint and paper on their walls.
Each type needs its own approach. Newer homes often need sprayed texture smoothed and builder paint primed; older ones often need layers stripped and drywall repaired before anything new goes up.
Families with young children or pets often appreciate a practical middle ground: a scrubbable vinyl in a pattern that looks like linen or grasscloth. It gives the warmth of a natural texture without the worry about spills, sticky fingers or a dog brushing past the wall every day. We bring samples of both so you can compare them side by side in your own rooms.
Florida conditions for both settings
Central Florida's humid subtropical climate shapes product choice. Summers, from June through September, are hot and sticky with almost daily afternoon thunderstorms, and winters are mild and drier. Commercial spaces with doors opening constantly and homes with sliders onto a screened pool area both see more humidity near the entrance. Vinyl and coated non-wovens handle those swings far better than uncoated paper or natural fibers.
Hurricane season runs June 1 through November 30. Whether it is a shop or a house, we check for leaks and water-stained drywall before installing, since paper hung over a damp wall can blister or develop mildew.
Our preparation standard
No matter the setting, the work underneath is identical. We remove existing coverings completely, clean off adhesive, repair dents and cracks, skim rough areas and apply a primer formulated for wallcoverings. In commercial jobs we also check that the chosen product meets any requirements the property manager or landlord has set, so there are no surprises at inspection.
Clean finishing matters as much as prep. Seams are tight, edges are trimmed with fresh blades and outlet covers, signage brackets and trim are reinstalled neatly.
Serving Winter Garden and the west side
Because Winter Garden is farther from our base, we coordinate measuring and installation days to keep trips efficient. We also serve Windermere, Ocoee, Bay Lake, Lake Buena Vista and Eatonville. If you own a business and live nearby, we are happy to plan both projects together.
Before any visit, sending a few photos and the product name you are considering lets us confirm the material is suitable and arrive with the right tools, adhesive and staging for the job.
