The short answer
Sky Lake sits right beside our Orlando base, so scheduling, sample drop-offs and follow-up checks are simple. We handle installation, removal, accent walls, murals, ceilings and wall repair throughout the neighborhood.
Sky Lake is practically in our backyard. The unincorporated Orange County community borders our Orlando base to the north, so there is almost no travel time between our shop and your front door. That closeness changes how we can run a project. We can split a job into short sessions, come back the next morning to check seams after the paste cures, drop off a sample roll for you to tape up and live with for a few days, or swing by to fix a single lifted corner without fuss. If you live in Sky Lake and have been putting off a wallpaper project because it seemed like a big production, this page explains why it does not have to be.
Why being close helps the finished result
Wallpaper rewards patience. Adhesive needs time to grab, freshly skimmed walls need time to dry and primer needs time to cure before paper goes on. When a crew has to drive across the county, those waits tend to get compressed into one long day. Next door, we can let each step take the time it should.
Short distance also means quicker answers. If you notice a bubble the day after install, we can look at it while it is still easy to address, usually by simply rolling it out before the paste fully sets.
Planning around Orlando weather
Our summers, from June through September, are hot and muggy with storms rolling through most afternoons. Winters are mild and much drier. Paste and primer behave differently in those two seasons, so we adjust drying time and keep the house closed up and air-conditioned while we work. In the wettest months, we avoid starting a large room late in the day when doors are opening and closing during a downpour.
Hurricane season also shapes the calendar. It runs from June 1 to November 30, and after a significant storm we prioritize inspecting walls for leaks and water damage before anything new is hung.
Projects Sky Lake owners book most
Because a visit is so easy for us to make, we take on plenty of jobs that might seem too small to call about elsewhere.
- One feature wall in a living room or behind a bed.
- Removing a faded border along the top of a kitchen or bath.
- Peel-and-stick panels in a kid's room or home office.
- A mural on the long wall of a dining area.
- Grasscloth in a den or study for warmth and texture.
- Ceiling paper in a powder room to make it feel deliberate.
- Patching and priming walls left damaged by a previous removal.
A phased approach for whole-house updates
Some owners want several rooms done but cannot clear the whole house at once. We can tackle one space at a time, finishing a bedroom before moving to the hall, then a bath, so daily life continues around us. Each phase still gets the full routine: stripping old material, washing off adhesive, repairing drywall, priming and then hanging.
When rooms are papered in stages, we keep notes on the products and adhesive used so later phases match. If you are reusing one pattern across rooms, buying all the rolls in the same batch up front avoids color variation between runs.
What a typical install day looks like
We arrive, walk the room with you once more and confirm the pattern placement you approved. Floors get drop cloths, furniture is pulled to the center and covered, and outlet plates come off so we can trim cleanly around the boxes. If prep was done on an earlier day, we do a final light sanding and wipe-down so no dust is trapped under the first strip.
Hanging begins from a plumb line, usually in the least visible corner so the inevitable final mismatch lands where nobody looks. Each strip is pasted or activated according to the manufacturer, booked for the right amount of time and smoothed from the center outward. Seams are rolled, excess adhesive is sponged off immediately and edges are trimmed with fresh blades. Before we leave, plates go back on, the room is vacuumed and you get a short walk-through of how to care for the new surface while it finishes curing.
