The short answer
We install, remove and repair wallpaper throughout Rio Pinar, roughly nine miles northeast of our Orlando base. On every visit we match the material to the room, since humidity, sunlight and wear differ from the bathroom to the bedroom.
Rio Pinar is an unincorporated neighborhood on the east side of Orange County, about nine miles northeast of our Orlando base. Homeowners here usually come to us with one room in mind and a question about whether the paper they love will actually work in it. That question deserves a room-specific answer, because a covering that thrives in a dim bedroom can fail in a sunny breakfast nook or a steamy hall bath. Rather than describe our services in the abstract, this page walks through the house the way we do on a site visit, pointing out what each space asks of a wallcovering and how we prepare it.
Entry, hallways and stairs
These are the walls that get bumped by grocery bags, vacuum cords and shoulders. A scrubbable vinyl or a heavy non-woven with a protective coating handles that abuse, and it lets you wipe off fingerprints without dulling the print. In long halls, we plan the layout so the pattern lines up as you walk toward the far end, and we center motifs on doorways where the eye naturally lands.
Where a stair wall rises two stories, we set up proper staging and work the tall drops carefully so seams stay plumb from top to bottom.
Living and dining rooms
This is where grasscloth, linen-look textures and large murals shine. Natural fibers vary from strip to strip by design, so we lay out panels before hanging and arrange them to keep the shading balanced across the wall. Dining rooms are also a favorite place for ceiling paper, which frames a chandelier and makes the room feel finished.
One caution for Rio Pinar homes with big windows: strong afternoon light can fade some natural dyes over time. If a wall takes direct sun, we may suggest a fade-resistant print or a window film to protect the investment.
Kitchens, baths and laundry
Wet rooms are the hardest test, especially in Central Florida, where summers bring thick humidity and afternoon thunderstorms nearly every day from June into September. Steam from showers and dryers, plus outside air coming in through doors, means these rooms see the biggest moisture swings in the house.
For these spaces we typically recommend the following approach.
- Solid vinyl or vinyl-coated paper rather than uncoated or natural-fiber goods.
- A mildew-resistant adhesive matched to the paper manufacturer's instructions.
- A primer that seals the wall so moisture cannot creep behind the seams.
- Careful sealing around tubs, backsplashes and window returns.
- A working exhaust fan, which protects the paper as much as any product does.
Bedrooms, nurseries and offices
Private rooms are the easiest places to experiment. A dark botanical behind a headboard, a playful mural in a child's room or a calm textured backdrop behind a desk all work well because these rooms see little moisture and less traffic. Peel-and-stick is also practical here if you expect to change the look in a few years, provided the paint underneath is smooth and fully cured.
For a nursery we favor low-odor adhesives and schedule the work so the room has time to air out before it is used.
Closets, nooks and the spaces people forget
Some of our favorite Rio Pinar projects are tucked out of sight. A walk-in closet lined with a cheerful print turns getting dressed into a small pleasure. The back panel of a glass-front cabinet, the wall behind an open pantry shelf or the inside of a coat closet by the garage door all take only a roll or two, yet they add personality you notice every day.
Small spaces still need careful work. Tight corners, shelving cleats and the edges of door casings require precise trimming, and closets near garages or exterior walls can run warmer and more humid than the rest of the house. We check those conditions and choose the product accordingly, often a coated non-woven that handles the extra moisture and stays easy to remove when you want a change.
Prep, removal and areas around Rio Pinar
Whatever the room, the wall comes first. We strip old coverings, wash off residue, patch dents and cracks, skim heavy texture and prime. If a past storm leak during hurricane season, which runs June 1 through November 30, left a stained or soft section of drywall, we repair it before any new covering goes on. Businesses near Rio Pinar can also book commercial vinyl for offices and waiting rooms.
From here we also serve Belle Isle, Edgewood, Winter Park, Sky Lake and Maitland, so a single trip can cover a quote, a sample review and the measurements.
