From a single feature wall in a Belle Isle bedroom to a full stairwell of grasscloth, the work below covers most of what Central Florida homes need. Each service begins with surface prep, because humid air and old paint finishes decide how long any paper stays flat.

About us

A Wallpaper Crew That Thinks About the Wall First

Specialist Wallpaper Installer works out of Orlando and focuses on one trade: putting paper, vinyl, grasscloth and murals on walls so they stay put. Central Florida asks a lot of a wallcovering. Summer afternoons bring storms almost daily, indoor humidity swings whenever the air conditioning cycles, and many houses here pair older concrete-block rooms with newer drywall additions. Those conditions show up at the seams if the substrate is ignored. So we test what is under the old finish, seal it with the right primer, and only then roll out the first drop. We plan the layout around doors, windows and sightlines so the pattern lands where your eye goes first. We trim against tile and trim with fresh blades, wipe paste off as we go, and leave the room clean enough to put the furniture back the same evening. If a wall needs patching or skim coating before it can take paper, we tell you upfront and explain why.

More about how we work

What to expect

How a visit goes

  1. Honest prep advice

If your wall has glossy paint, torn drywall facing or a lingering moisture problem, we say so before work starts and suggest the fix that makes sense for that surface.

  2. Patterns that line up

We plot where the repeat falls at eye level and in corners, so the match holds across the whole room instead of drifting by the last strip.

  3. A tidy work area

Drop cloths go down first, scraps leave with us, and paste residue is sponged off trim and ceilings before we call the job done.

Where we work

Our base is in Orlando, and we regularly drive out to lakeside neighborhoods, older ranch-home streets and new two-story subdivisions in the towns listed here. If your community is not on the list, ask anyway; most of Orange County and its neighbors are within reach.

FAQ

Common questions

Don’t see your question? Call (561) 944-3314 and we’ll talk it through.

Does Florida humidity make wallpaper peel?

Humidity on its own rarely causes failure when the wall is sealed with a proper primer and the room is air-conditioned. Problems usually start when paper goes over unsealed drywall, glossy paint or a wall with an active leak, so we check for those first.

Can you hang wallpaper on concrete-block walls?

Yes. Painted block walls in older Orlando ranch homes often need patching of mortar lines and a skim coat so the texture does not telegraph through the paper. We assess the surface and explain what prep it needs.

Do I need to buy the wallpaper myself?

Most clients choose and order their own paper. We can help you work out how many rolls to order based on wall measurements and the pattern repeat, so you are not short a roll halfway through.

Will you remove my old wallpaper first?

We can. Removal, wall repair and new installation are often done as one project, which keeps the schedule simple and lets us control the condition of the surface we are hanging on.

How long does a typical room take?

A single accent wall can often be finished in a day. Full rooms, ceilings, or walls that need removal and skim coating take longer, and we give you a realistic schedule after seeing the space.

Do you work on businesses as well as homes?

Yes. We install commercial-grade vinyl and other wallcoverings in offices, shops and hospitality spaces, and we can plan work around business hours.

Is peel and stick wallpaper worth having installed professionally?

It can be, especially on large walls or with bold patterns. Peel and stick is forgiving to reposition but unforgiving of dust, texture and crooked first drops, which is where careful prep and layout make the difference.
